A built-in refrigerator is part of your kitchen, but its cooling system still needs room to breathe and doors that close properly. A temperature complaint can involve airflow, a sensor, a door seal, or the refrigeration system itself. Replacing a part based on the symptom alone can miss the cause.
Sub-Zero products include separate refrigerators and freezers, combination units, wine storage and undercounter appliances. Their layouts and controls vary. The model number helps us understand what is installed before we arrive; the on-site inspection establishes what is actually happening.
Tell us whether one compartment or the whole appliance is affected. If the display reports a temperature or message, make a note of it. An actual thermometer reading, if you already have one, can add useful context. Move temperature-sensitive food to suitable cold storage if the appliance is no longer keeping it cold.
Refrigerators and freezers
Uneven temperatures, longer running, frost, water or a door that will not settle closed each give the technician a different place to start. We consider the pattern alongside the appliance’s condition.
Wine and undercounter storage
Undercounter refrigerators, refrigerated drawers and wine cabinets have their own ventilation and temperature controls. Tell us which type you have and whether one zone or the whole unit has changed.
Ice production
Low output, misshapen cubes and leaks are different complaints. Let us know whether the appliance is a dedicated ice maker or an ice maker inside a refrigerator or freezer.
