Working with Thermador
Start with the appliance that has changed.
Thermador kitchens often combine several appliances that work independently. A freezer column may be affected while the refrigerator beside it is still cold. A wall oven can have a mode-specific problem. Start by telling us exactly which unit or function has changed.
Controls and messages differ between product generations. Write down the complete message before clearing it, if you can do so without operating an unsafe appliance. A code offers a starting point; it is not a substitute for checking the condition that caused it.
Installation details also matter. Let us know about custom cabinet fronts, a stacked oven installation or a dishwasher with limited access. Do not remove trim or move the appliance in preparation for the appointment. We will discuss the practical access requirements with you.
Refrigeration columns and wine storage
We look at temperature behavior, door closure and the affected zone. A display reading alone may not explain how conditions vary through the cabinet.
Ranges, ovens and cooktops
We check heating, ignition or controls depending on the cooking function that has failed. Mention whether the appliance works in some modes but fails in others.
Dishwashers
Fill, circulation, heating and drainage have distinct roles in the cycle. Describe standing water, incomplete cycles or leaks, including when you first notice them.
