Keep the full message, not just the first number.
If the control panel displays a message, write down the complete text or code before clearing it. Different Thermador products can use different controls, and a partial code can leave out useful context. Note what the appliance was doing when the message appeared.
A message is one part of the diagnosis. The technician also checks the reported behavior and relevant systems on the appliance. If there is a leak, smoke or another unsafe condition, stop using the unit instead of restarting it to see whether the display changes.
