Symptoms and service
What’s changed with your dishwasher?
Controls, drying systems and optional features vary by model. The exact error message and model number help us select the right information. A warning on a Thermador dishwasher should not be interpreted using a code list from a different brand or appliance type.
The cycle stops and leaves water
Record whether a message appeared and how far the cycle had progressed. The drain path, household connection and dishwasher operation all need consideration. Avoid reaching into concealed pump areas or repeatedly restarting a machine that is leaking.
Dishes remain dirty or unexpectedly wet
Explain whether this is a new change and whether it affects one rack, certain items or everything. Loading, detergent, rinse aid and the selected program provide context. A poor result on its own does not establish which wash or drying component needs service.
The door leaks or will not latch normally
Note whether the change followed rack loading, a panel adjustment or work around the counter. Stop operation when water escapes. Door closure, seals and installation conditions need to be inspected before a replacement part is selected.
What we check.
We check filling, circulation, heating, draining or drying according to the complaint. Door operation, leakage and controls may need attention too. The technician also checks installation connections when symptoms began after kitchen or plumbing work.
Getting ready for service.
Clear dishes and the area around the sink. Save any error photo and mention recent detergent or plumbing changes. Owner-accessible filters may be cleaned only as described in the correct manual. Leave panels, wiring and concealed pump parts intact for the technician.
A few installation details help with a dishwasher visit.
- Mention a custom front panel or a door that no longer closes evenly.
- Tell us about recent sink, disposal, plumbing or flooring work.
- Describe when the problem occurs: filling, washing, draining or after the cycle.
