Which cooking function needs attention?
Wolf cooking appliances span gas, electric, dual-fuel and induction designs. A range can have a working cooking surface while the oven below has a separate problem. Tell us which function has changed and whether other parts of the appliance still work normally.
With an oven, the selected mode and the point at which the problem appears are useful details. Slow preheating, uneven baking and a shutdown partway through cooking are not interchangeable symptoms. With a cooktop, note whether the issue follows one burner or heating zone, or affects the entire surface.
We do not ask you to pull a range away from its connections or remove a control panel before the visit. Leave access clear and have the model information ready if it is easy to find. If an appliance is sparking, producing smoke or behaving unsafely, stop using it. A suspected gas leak needs immediate attention from the gas utility or emergency services, away from the affected area.
Ranges and ovens
We check the cooking mode that has changed, including heating, temperature sensing and controls. Tell us whether one oven cavity is affected or whether the problem occurs throughout the range.
Cooktops
Ignition, flame behavior and electronic cooking zones involve different systems. Describe the affected position and any message displayed; do not repeatedly try to force an unresponsive burner to operate.
Microwaves
A microwave can run its fan and turntable without heating food. Internal microwave components are not suitable for homeowner inspection, even after the unit is unplugged. Leave the cabinet closed.
