Symptoms and service
What’s changed with your dishwasher?
The model matters for controls, filters, wash systems and any fitted drying or water-treatment features. A procedure from another dishwasher may not apply. Bring the model and the exact message or light pattern into the conversation rather than trying several reset routines from unrelated instructions.
Water remains after a completed cycle
Note whether the appliance completed normally or stopped with an alert. The drainage path and household connection may need to be checked as well as the dishwasher. Do not reach into concealed pump areas; glass and sharp debris can be present.
Cleaning has become inconsistent
Describe whether the issue affects all dishes or one rack. Review ordinary loading and detergent guidance in the owner’s manual. A blocked spray path, a wash condition and a component fault are different possibilities, so the result needs context.
The dishwasher leaks or stops unexpectedly
Stop the cycle when water escapes and protect the surrounding floor. Note when the leak starts and whether the door closes as usual. The source may not be visible from the point where water reaches the floor.
What we check.
We check the part of the cycle where the problem occurs: filling, washing, draining or drying. Door closure, leakage and controls may also need testing. If the trouble began after installation or plumbing work, we check the connections as part of the visit.
Getting ready for service.
Clear dishes and items around the sink so the technician can reach the normal connection area. Keep a photo of any message and mention detergent changes. Clean only owner-accessible filters according to the correct manual; do not tip the machine or pull it out from under the counter.
A few installation details help with a dishwasher visit.
- Mention a custom front panel or a door that no longer closes evenly.
- Tell us about recent sink, disposal, plumbing or flooring work.
- Describe when the problem occurs: filling, washing, draining or after the cycle.
