Symptoms and service
What’s changed with your wine cooler?
Wine storage models and undercounter configurations differ in controls, shelving and airflow. Some installations conceal the appliance almost completely. The model and a description of where it sits help us distinguish an equipment concern from something about the surrounding enclosure.
Bottles no longer feel as they usually do
Compare the observed behavior with the selected temperature rather than with a kitchen refrigerator. Record separate zone readings where the model has them. Tell us if the cabinet was recently filled or left open for a longer period.
Condensation is appearing in a new place
Identify whether the moisture is on the outside glass, inside the storage area or beneath the appliance. Door fit, room conditions and drainage need to be considered in context. Wiping the surface before a visit is fine, but a photo of the original pattern is useful.
Racks or bottles seem to vibrate
Check for obvious bottles touching each other during normal loading. If the sound continues, note when it starts and whether it follows the cooling cycle. A rattle from cabinet contact needs a different remedy from a noise inside the appliance.
What we check.
We compare temperatures and settings in the available zones, inspect the door seal and check ventilation. Sensors, fans and cooling components are tested as the findings narrow the cause. A noise complaint also needs a check for bottles, racks or cabinetry making contact.
Getting ready for service.
Leave space to open the door and show the model label if it is easily accessible. Keep the appliance in place. Let us know if the installation has a custom panel, a lock or unusual access around the counter. Consider suitable alternative storage for the collection if its usual conditions cannot be maintained.
Tell us how your wine storage is set up.
- Note whether the cabinet has one temperature zone or more than one.
- Describe an undercounter installation, a tall cabinet or a separate freestanding unit.
- Record the usual setting and what has changed in each affected zone.
